WhatsApp message charges only, at Meta’s official rates effective 1 April 2026 (see our Meta per-message cost table). Plan fees are separate: Botbiz Growth is ₹800 a month. Other providers’ markups are the difference between their published India rate card and Meta’s rate, as documented on our comparison pages, applied to the market you pick. USD figures use an approximate exchange rate.
Why the per-message price matters more than the plan fee
A plan fee is fixed. A markup grows with every message you send, so it is the number that decides what WhatsApp costs you at scale.
Meta sets the price
Every WhatsApp Business API message is priced by Meta per market and per category: marketing, utility, authentication and service. That price is the same whichever platform you use.
BSPs add their margin
Most platforms buy messages from Meta and resell them with 10% to 60% on top, often through a prepaid wallet that pauses sending when it runs out.
Botbiz adds nothing
On Botbiz monthly and yearly plans, Meta bills you directly at its rate. You pay the plan fee for the software and nothing per message to Botbiz.
Questions about WhatsApp API pricing
Does Botbiz add a markup to Meta’s WhatsApp message prices?
No. On Botbiz monthly and yearly plans Meta bills your WhatsApp messages directly at its official rate. Botbiz charges a plan fee from ₹800 a month and adds nothing to the per-message price.
Where do the Meta rates in the calculator come from?
From Meta’s published per-message rate card for the WhatsApp Business Platform, as listed on our Meta per-message cost page, effective 1 April 2026. Marketing, utility, authentication and service messages each have their own rate per market.
How are the other providers’ prices calculated?
Each provider’s published rate card is compared with Meta’s rate for the same category in India, which gives the markup shown on our comparison pages: about 60% for Wati, about 26% for AiSensy, 12% to 39% on Interakt Starter and about 15% for Gallabox. The calculator applies that percentage to Meta’s rate for the market you pick. Providers that do not publish message rates, such as DoubleTick, are not included.
Are plan fees included in the comparison?
No. The calculator compares message charges only. Plan fees differ by provider and are listed on each comparison page and on our pricing page.
Which message types are usually the most expensive?
Marketing messages carry the highest rate in every market. Utility and authentication messages are much cheaper, which is why a support-heavy business pays far less per message than one running promotions.
