Mailchimp integrationRun Mailchimp and WhatsApp side by side
Grow your Mailchimp audience from WhatsApp conversations
Connect Mailchimp to Botbiz and let the chatbot add subscribers to your Mailchimp lists. Collect the email address in the conversation, apply the right list and tags, and keep WhatsApp and email working together.
Would you like our monthly tips by email as well? Just send your email address and we will add you.
Done. You are subscribed. We will keep the important updates here on WhatsApp.
Ask for the email address inside the conversation
A flow step asks for the email, checks the format and saves it to the contact. The same step can add the person to Mailchimp with a tag that says where they came from.
- Email field validated before it is saved
- Contact added to the chosen Mailchimp list
- Source tag so you know the subscriber came from WhatsApp
- Consent wording of your choice in the message
What email should we send the brochure to?
Thanks, Rahul. The brochure is on its way to your inbox.
Keep Mailchimp lists in step with WhatsApp tags
Map chatbot tags and choices to Mailchimp lists or groups. A customer who picks “wholesale” in the chat lands in the wholesale list, and your email campaigns stay targeted.
- Chatbot choices mapped to Mailchimp lists
- Tags applied on both sides
- Unsubscribes respected
- Segments stay accurate without exports
Which updates would you like by email?
Both
Use email and WhatsApp for what each does best
Long-form content, documents and newsletters go by email. Time-sensitive updates and two-way conversations stay on WhatsApp, where replies reach your shared inbox.
- Choose the channel per message in the flow
- WhatsApp for replies and quick decisions
- Email for documents and newsletters
- One contact record across both
