Mandrill integrationRun Mandrill and WhatsApp side by side
Send Mandrill emails from your WhatsApp flows
Connect Mandrill to Botbiz and send transactional emails from inside a chatbot flow: receipts, confirmations and documents go out by email while the conversation continues on WhatsApp.
Would you like our monthly tips by email as well? Just send your email address and we will add you.
Done. You are subscribed. We will keep the important updates here on WhatsApp.
Ask for the email address inside the conversation
A flow step asks for the email, checks the format and saves it to the contact. The same step can add the person to Mandrill with a tag that says where they came from.
- Email field validated before it is saved
- Contact available for Mandrill sending
- Source tag so you know the subscriber came from WhatsApp
- Consent wording of your choice in the message
What email should we send the brochure to?
Thanks, Rahul. The brochure is on its way to your inbox.
Send the email from the flow, keep the chat on WhatsApp
When a step needs to send a document, receipt or long confirmation, the flow sends it through Mandrill and tells the customer on WhatsApp. No separate tool, no manual sending.
- Templated emails sent from a flow step
- Order and contact details merged into the email
- Delivery handled by Mandrill
- Customer told on WhatsApp when it is sent
Use email and WhatsApp for what each does best
Long-form content, documents and newsletters go by email. Time-sensitive updates and two-way conversations stay on WhatsApp, where replies reach your shared inbox.
- Choose the channel per message in the flow
- WhatsApp for replies and quick decisions
- Email for documents and newsletters
- One contact record across both
